Most people have a favorite sex position. As many of us know, Cosmo Kramer’s favorite was “woman on top.” He preferred it because he liked to let them do all the work. But I wonder if he was also aware that in doing so he was walking a dangerous line, performing the MOST DANGEROUS SEX POSITION (insert scary music here)!
Yup, that’s right, boys and girls, “woman on top” or “cowgirl” as it is often referred to, has been found, in a recent study, to be the most dangerous sex position and was deemed to be responsible for half of all sexually related penile fractures recorded at three Brazilian hospitals.
The scientists who did the study say that the reason for this is because in the cowgirl position the women controls the penis with all her body weight landing on it and isn’t able to interrupt it when it suffers a “wrong way penetration.” Just reading that term, “wrong way penetration” hurts me a little.
As for other positions, those involving a woman on all fours (my personal favorite) was involved in 29% of fractures (I guess I have been lucky so far then – knock on wood – pun intended). And the safest position you ask? Well, it just so happens to be the oldest position there is. The one that started it all. The “who’s your grand daddy” of sex positions – MISSIONARY!
So, now that you know, guys, are you going to avoid cowgirl? Girls, if you do do cowgirl, are you going to be more careful when you bounce up and down?
