Anointed the king of erotica by Playboy magazine and acknowledged as such by both porn pundits and mainstreamists alike, Ron Harris, I must say, does have quite an eye for what turns people on. I have to admit that, on my way to visit Ron Harris Studio, I had never heard of the man; I didn't know anything about his past work or about what he had done to deserve his praises.

On my way out, however, I can only concede that he does do high-quality work with the help of the amateur beauties that he recruits for erotic posterity. RonHarrisStudio is an erotica site– what you might call a softcore site, since no men appear in any of the photo or video content. The subject matter is female sexuality, female beauty, the female body, the female orgasm.

Harris casts the chick next door to help him craft his erotic vision. The babes are beautiful, sunny, taut and perfect in all their tiny imperfections and Harris frames them in all sorts of unconventional ways that highlight aspects of erotica that you never knew were there to begin.

In the more traditional video and the photo galleries, the content is to-the-point erotica– masturbation, use of a vibrator that looks like an electric toothbrush, climax after climax, panties, lots of drop-dead gorgeous babes posing and spreading.

Ron Harris photography is top-quality and the photos are not only mostly high-res, but mostly really high-res. Photos can be downloaded by the bunch in Zip files, which is always a favourite feature of mine. Videos can be either downloaded or viewed in a video stream, and several options are available as far as quality is concerned. The great news is that awhile back they introduced high-def videos to the site and today 41 of 91 movies have that option. These vids look incredible. They also give you an iPod download option. The ones without the high-def option still look great as well.

The site updates weekly with either a new photo set or video. The site doesn't have a picture and video section so to see what's available, one must check out the 'models' section. However, there is a high-def section for the really excellent-looking movies.Through there members can click on any of the girls and see all she has to offer. A conservative estimate would be about 440 picture sets and 120 or so videos so far.

This sounds strange, I suppose. Ron's work tends to bend the rules when it reaches into the corners, inviting us to join him at the boundaries of what is sexually exciting on Ron Harris Studio. The strengths of his corpus lie in his understanding of eroticism, the angles he chooses, and his relationship to his subject and subjects.
