SINK YOUR TEETH INTO KINK.COM

No, Kink.com doesn’t have a biting fetish site, but cumming to this porn will have you gnawing your lip more than once. If you have even a slight interest in BDSM, then you have likely heard of Kink.com. I love this company and its collection of sites. Some of my favorite performers, like Bobbi Starr and JamesDeen, have done work with them and I can never get enough of MaitresseMadeline.

Their sites dominate the top 15 of our BDSM category.  They’ve yet to beat out HouseOfTaboo, though. Still, Hogtied (their very first site) is right on its heels. Just under that follows TheTrainingOfO, TheUpperFloor, SexAndSubmission, DeviceBondage and PublicDisgrace. But how did this porn powerhouse come to be? Let me initiate you.

Peter Acworth is the dude to shake hands with. He was studying finance at Columbia University in 1997 and got inspired to start up his own company. Shit, are we glad he did. Hogtied was the first site, but didn’t offer completely exclusive content. It still made enough of a profit for Peter to leave his graduate studies behind. A few years later came FuckingMachines and now there are over 20 subscription sites that encompass BDSM, both gay and straight, and Femdom. If you’ve never subscribed to any of these, you’re missing out on a lot of variety as well as damn good material. Yes, they have staged shoots, but The Upper Floor documents a 24/7 BDSM lifestyle and KinkUniversity is focused on tutorials and educating you about the practice.

KINK ARMORY
The infamous Kink armoury

The Armory, where the shoots are produced, is located in San Francisco and was purchased in 2006. You might think that some people in the area weren’t too pleased to have a porn production company moving in and you’d be right. But, after some protests and visits to various meetings, Kink.com prevailed and is still in possession of the building and continues to shoot there to this day. Even actor James Franco can’t help but be inspired by the Armory’s vast number of dungeons and dim rooms. While filming scenes for About Cherry, Franco got the idea for his documentary on Kink.com appropriately called Kink. He persuaded director Christina Voros to get on board and the film was released in April 2013. Kink creator Acworth along with Maitresse Madeline, Princess Donna and Van Darkholme all make appearances.

What sets this company apart? Well, for one, its emphasis on safety and authenticity. You’ll always see interviews with performers before and after shoots.. The performers are asked what they like, what they hope to experience during the shoot and are reminded of their safeword. The interview at the end is always a little exhilarating. The models’ bodies are usually marked from the tight ropes and other implements and there’s always a slight electricity about them that is indeed palpable. There might be traces of sweat between their breasts or they might have mascara smudges down their cheeks. Kink.com pulls back the curtain on this lifestyle. BDSM can be an intimidating practice, to say the least, and I find they manage to make it more palatable to newbs (guilty!) without sacrificing any of the ardor.

And Kink.com doesn’t leave out hot guy-on-guy action. With sites like MaleWank, 30MinutesOfTorment and ButtMachineBoys, they’re dominating the gay BDSM niche as well. With a toon site and a shemale one, they certainly are covering their bases.

I generally can’t shut up about this network when talk turns to BDSM. We’ve reviewed every one of Kink’s sites. I’m not blowing smoke up your ass when I tell you that the content is spectacular. Yes, some collections have stopped updating, but the shoots are inventive, the performances are riveting and the quality is almost always superb. Submissives are bolted, chained and strapped to the floor, drizzled with wax, probed with cattle prods, subjected to water torture and, of course, made to pleasure their Masters and Mistresses in all kinds of rough and creative ways. If you want to bring your BDSM to a higher level, you owe it to yourself to check out Kink.com. And Peter Acworth, wherever you are, thanks for ditching finance and bringing the world rough, hot fucking.
