Streamate Review

Streamate used to be pretty decent but at some point they degraded their platform's webcam streaming ability. It seems the highest resolution any model can stream is 720. With all the adult content streaming at FHD 1080p (1920 x 1080) and UHD 4K (3,840 by 2160), watching a cam stream in 720 feels like traveling 10 years back in time and is a miserable experience that I don't plan to repeat anytime soon. Maybe Streamate just needs to upgrade their streaming platform. Until then, I'll be spending my time and money elsewhere on 4K camshows at places like Chaturbate.

It is necessary to be very careful in streamate and its numerous clones, in this site the rule is: take the maximum money from members even if it is dishonestly, most of the models never fulfill what they promise, they are true gold vampires who are never punished for their abuses, they are allowed erase and hide the tags that denounce who they really are, this is to induce new members to be tricked and extorted, it is useless to denounce, nothing happens, so BE CAREFUL

They contacted me telling me I have to send in a copy of a VALID ID, A STATEMENT SAYING I AM THE OWNER OF MY CC?? So much for trying them, it almost felt like it was a credit card scam.

As a customer, I wouldn't recommend this site, because the first thing they ask you for is documents for identity, statements and signatures, otherwise they block the account permanently, are you kidding me, there are tons of websitetes that wish to add a customer

streamate need take care better of members, now with with some models playing for gold, open space to models that request gold all time as a beggar and after they receive say that only play in private, if admins not stop with this abuses of profiteers models, they will down reputacion of site, and destroy tips shows, what is a good thing and tendence in all cam sites, also will send members to spend money in others sites where dont have abuses

CONS TO BEING A MODEL ON STREAMATE: Model support SUCKS. They lie to their models, make stuff up, and mess with their own model profiles, including but NOT limited to discounting or removing valid 5 star ratings, and discounting and removing valid member comments, and removing models from their members' favorites list. Their response when you inquire about such actions is to lie and make up whatever excuse they can to cover up their actions- including giving false information that completely goes against the written rules of the provided Model Handbook & makes no sense to anyone with half a brain & the keen ability to read words. They harass & punish models who inquire about the credibility and validity of the site, & they use any means necessary to crush any model who attempts to stand up for themselves & their profession. Streamates also sells videos of models to the members and they don't give them anything in return, & they cleverly hide this from any model that doesn't know any better by totally omitting the 'videos for sale' section of model profiles so when a model clicks on 'view my profile' from their model page, they don't even see that section. (New Models: Check your cammodels.com link to see what members REALLY see, not what Streamates wants you to see.) They also allow certain models to run pre-recorded shows that aren't even live. They don't back their models up and they treat them like they aren't even real people, while giving them a crappy little 35% cut. What are models paying 65% for??? No traffic, CONSTANT software glitches, little to NO model support, a cheap 'streamate broadcast' encoder that makes your normally flawless video look horrible, & a flawed ranking system that makes little to no sense.With so many awesome camming sites to choose from, why would any model choose this outdated & TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL website? PROS TO BEING A MODEL ON STREAMATE: You can quit and move on to a site that not only pays you more, but treats you FAIRLY.

Comparated with others STREAMATE are bored and tiring, gold shows fully banalized and Is being used by models without motivation and audacity, nothing incentive members send gold or new members join in this site

DISHONEST Company - AVOID! If you find a decent "model" you are likely alright, except for technical issues with the cam2cam & "phone" feature so that you can take your hands off the keyboard to communicate. I had issues with both the cam2cam & "phone" features. The first "chat" rep I got was great, apologized & told me that Streamate is NOT supported by Internet Explorer (I was using Firefox), that Firefox as well as Chrome also have issues with Stremate, that I should download & use Safari, which I did. I still had cam2cam & phone issues with Stremate while using the suggested Safari. I am leery of some of the models that, despite what they have listed in their profiles that they are into, don't want to answer any questions about it BEFORE you enter PAID chat at up to $4.99 a min. I found one who listed things I liked, I asked a few questions, was told the "toys" were in another room and COST EXTRA. I agreed, entered the PAID chat & asked him to get the items, while I PAID & waited. After a long pause, he REFUSED & told me to ask my questions somewhere else. I asked what I had done wrong to "Viking27". He replied that I had done nothing wrong, but ended the session. This time when I contacted "customer service" by chat, the rep., told me he would note it on the models record. HE LIED, after the chat with him, he HAD CANCELED my account and BLOCKED me "for life". Really???? This is what Streamate calls "customer support"??? I googled customer reviews & complaints. I discovered that they have many, many sites & different names, including Flying Crocodiles INC, dba as FCI, Inc. etc. Others report that some models have a pre-taped loop that plays with someone else than the model typing replies as though they are the model. Their "customer service", with one exception I had, are rude, rotten, arrogant & nasty. At $5.00/$4.99 a min, I EXPECT FAR BETTER "customer service". Their behavior to complaints is to CANCEL your account & BLOCK you for life.
