Vaygren Review

Ricardo Landell, whose artist handle is Cyberunique, has launched his newest endeavor Vaygren as an homage to old-school anime. We're talking OVAs (original video animations released directly to home video) like Angel Blade and Bible Black, where the plots are well-developed with storylines that are dark or hypersexualized.

He also credits artists like Koutarou, Kotoyoshi Yumisuke, Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell as further inspiration for his creations. But regardless of him nodding his hat to others, Vaygren is his pride and joy and he pours his heart and soul into his pet project, bringing you something both exclusive and high in quality.

Cyberunique feels that there are plenty of sites in this niche with male characters depicted in the artist's image and so his drawings are limited to females and futanari (Japanese for hermaphrodites) - fantastical beings like demons or aliens that have the genitalia of both sexes. In one case, a magic spell gives a schoolgirl two penises.

In addition to a comic called Vaygren, you'll also get two others. He posts one page of a comic at a time and I'm going to count the 68 pages as separate galleries. You can also browse five categories: futanari, lesbian , solo, encounters and assorted. A category may hold multiple individual posts or have small groups of related pics. 

At the moment, Cyberunique is working on a special animation for the site so updates have been slow at times, but he's posted a few new pieces this month. For example, he had one update showing both a rough line sketch and the completed image, so that was cool. 

You can expect beautiful glossy high-res images that certainly demonstrate the skills of this artist. You won't find Zip files or an automatic slideshow, but the images do appear in a display that allows you to manually move to the next one in the series.

You get access to five animation loops and though they're short, they still offer a bit more action than your typical animated GIF. You also have access to a downloadable game that's a lot of fun. It involves a schoolgirl on the swim team and she has a surprise visitor in the locker room of the futanari variety. Other extras include access to Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook pages for the site, Ricardo, or his Cyberunique alter ego.

A membership inexpensive so even if this collection isn't the largest, you can feel like you're getting your money's worth. After all, Vaygren is bringing you exclusive high-quality images, so don't let our score put you off. Even criterion as extensive as ours doesn't necessarily capture the appeal of a collection such as this one.
