If you were hoping that the URL 899 Movies meant that there were 899 films on the site, I am going to have to tell you that you are wrong. Actually, there are more than 899 available and that number actually refers to what the site used to charge for a monthly membership. You'll have to pay more than $8.99 these days, but the website still has some things going for it.
With your membership, you get access to 2,176 DVDs, each with multiple full-length scenes. So, in total, you are getting access to over 10,390 scenes and that number is rising every single day. Yup, they are adding five new DVDs every day, so let's say that comes to over 100 new scenes every week. Whatever the exact numbers, you will definitely be getting your money's worth and much more.
Given the amount of content available, the worthiness of the site comes down to the quality of the videos themselves. I am happy to report that that is all good as well. The movies are downloadable in Windows Media format. While the bit rates are average, the movies actually look pretty good.
Of course, they could be better, but I was able to watch and enjoy everything I downloaded. Speaking of downloading, there is no limit, which means you can download until you can't physically click your mouse anymore. Also, there is no DRM protection, so once you download a video, it is yours forever.
As a member, you can search the content via category (of which there are over 60) or studio (there are over 50). There is no option to search by performer, which would have been nice. However, each film has a list of performers that are in the scenes and those names are clickable to get to everything they have from that particular person. A nice feature that they offer is scene clipping, which allows you to pick a start and stop point from within any scene and just download that section.
Other movie sites might have higher-quality videos, but 899 Movies still has a lot of flicks for you to check out. There are also bonus sites that you can visit like Candy Films, Mommy Loves Pussy and Pornstar Classics. It's worth a look if you're hoping to get access to a diverse collection of flicks.

899movies is not trustworthy and provides rotten service. Con: About 2 months into a 3-month membership I got a msg saying my acct was blocked due to signs of "sharing login info". I didn't mind so much that they made a mistake, as I knew I hadn't shared my info with anyone. However, I tried at least four different ways to get hold of 899movies over the course of about 2 weeks, including going thru the biller. They never replied once. That kind of arrogance and rotten service loses my business, and hopefully yours, too. Pro: good array of content.
As of 6/30/08 they haven t updated in 2 weeks. Most updates are foreign made.
