Play With Me Review

Play With Me is a new tip cam site from the same company that brought you Cams.com and AdultFriendFinder. So in case you're wondering why some of the performers look familiar, it's probably because you've seen them on other live cam sites . Let's take a look at this fresh, new site.

They've opted for a simple look and interface, which, if you've read any of my reviews before, you know I appreciate. A lot of the sections are very similar to those on Cams.com and iCams .com, namely the "recorded shows," "fan clubs," "favorites," "advanced search" and "navigation" (although for some reason they put the navigational links all the way at the bottom of the page).

When I looked at the site, there were only 17 free chat rooms, mostly in the "female" section, but the "couples" one seemed particularly active. All the other rooms were of performers in private or group chats, so I had to pay to watch. However, I must say that since these are not private chats, the prices were anywhere from $1 to $2/minute, even cheaper if you buy a larger token package. Overall, there were 118 active cam rooms.

What I deduce is happening is that there are only a few exclusive performers on PlayWithMe. The rest choose to perform on both Cams.com and this site, but they only appear on PlayWithMe when they're in a private chat. Seems a bit convoluted to me, but I guess there was a revenue reason behind it.

However, I find it limiting to not be able to take any performer into a private one-on-one chat (hence, no cam2cam feature here). Plus, the performers in private chat change status very frequently - as soon as the private chat is over, you click on her thumb and get taken to her profile page, not her chat room. Very annoying.

The free cam shows work either through direct tips or through goals (like Gold Shows on Streamate). The cam chat interface itself is almost identical to their other sites. The main difference is, of course, no private chat, no cam2cam and here you can actually see all the users in the room (including the lurkers). The cam quality, like on the mother site, are half in HD and half not, but even the ones not in HD looked great.

The site is slow. I hope they're working out the kinks, because it was quite annoying. If you wait too long without refreshing the page, some of the thumbnails lead to blank pages. Something to do with a session. The only way around it is to go back and reload the homepage and then they work again.

You can sort the girls by language and region and track all your favorites. Unfortunately, that second feature is a bit useless because they don't have notifications for when your favorites come online, nor do you see them first on the homepage. You can only access them through the favorites section.

The mobile site seemed simple as well, although the cam quality doesn't even compare to the desktop. They prompt you to install a browser app for the iPhone that streams at a much better quality.

Overall, this site is great for bargain hunters. If you don't mind group shows, you'll have a blast here as there's lots of value in cam quality vs. price. However, for those like me who like to get personal and intimate with the girls, there's nothing here.
