Phone Mates Review

Phone Mates might sound like some kind of phone sex operator, but I promise you it's so much more than that. Instead of just chatting with hot girls on the phone, you get to see them up close and personal on cam and performing just for you. 

PhoneMates is a pretty standard live cam site as far as the layout goes. You can see all the girls who are online and if you hover over their thumbnail, it gives you a preview. From what I could tell, there are usually about 500-600 girls online at any given time, so you have plenty of options. If you look at their drop-down menu of filters, it shows you how many girls are online in each category, whether you're looking for teens , Asians , petite girls, babes with piercings, etc. 

If you want to look around before creating an account, you won't get to do very much. You can see that preview I mentioned, but you typically won't see any sex or nudity and you can't chat with the girls. You don't need a credit card at signup, which helps you maintain some anonymity, so after making your free account, you can usually chat a bit with a girl to see what she's into. You can also check out her profile and message her, or look at reviews from other members. 

For credits, the ratio is generally a dollar per credit, though if you splurge on the bigger packages, you might save some cash. It looks like most performers set their rate at around $1.98/minute. Some charge a bit less, but you'll also find performers who charge over $5/min. If you go to the advanced search, you can view the models by price, with the lowest option set to $0.98. 

After you buy credits, there are a few different options to interact with the girls. There's private chat, where you get a private show but other members can also join in and there's no option to block them. This is where the girls get naked and the real fun starts. You also have the option to cam2cam or tip them with credits that are linked to a vibrator, so they get an extra treat. There are also Candy Shows, where performers wait to get a certain amount of credits before starting their show. 

Be careful when you're having all this fun, though, because there's no session timer or any indicator of how many credits you're spending, so you might be spending more than you think. You can set up one-click purchases, so you can easily obtain credits using whatever card you have on file with them. If you think you'll spend too much this way, they give you the option to turn this off in your settings. 

One thing that's noticeably missing is any kind of indicator of the cams being HD. Don't get me wrong, the streams definitely look HD, but it's not labeled anywhere and there's no HD filter so that you don't see the low-quality streams. They could benefit by adding that. But luckily, the site is mobile -friendly on both an Apple and Android device.

I liked the variety of girls right off the bat, with black, white and Latina girls, some with big tits others with small boobs. Some of them look like they know exactly what they're doing, while others look innocent and wholesome like they somehow stumbled onto a cam site.

The shows aren't the only treat either. If a performer is offline, you can still look at her photo galleries and videos, if she has any. Some also have recorded shows from previous sessions they did, but they cost extra.
