Vintage Gay Loops is one hot blast from the past. You'll see lots of shaggy-haired dudes with big, thick mustaches and thick pubes doing it. A lot of this classic porn has a decidedly manlier feel to it than some of our contemporary smut. The men aren't all waxed and overgroomed, and even the couple of scenes with teens have a more natural appeal, with what little body hair they have left intact.

In the end, the 216 videos on VintageGayLoops make for a refreshing change. They provide good-quality playback and last 5 to 20 minutes. They come from 8mm films made in the '60s and '70s that have been digitally remastered. Despite their bit rates, these are old movies, so there are some scratches and fading.

Those little imperfections are part of its charm, though, like listening to a vinyl record instead of a CD. I love some of these flicks, because their styles and plots hark back to times when gays had to be more creative about cruising. In one of my favorites, you'll see three guys in an old-style porn theatre where one guy spies on the other two as they suck and screw.

The bottom of the scene lies upside down in one of the chairs, so his head rests on the seat, and his butt is up at the back of the chair. A horny guy who is standing behind the chair is at just the perfect position to fuck him hard from above. Those acrobatics are not something I've seen before despite today's porn being no holds (or holes) barred.

Another scene brings back a fond memory. On a mesh hammock, one man lies on his stomach with his dick hanging through, and another guy blows him from underneath. Let me tell you from experience: the sensation of being suspended in the air while being blown is incredible. It really rocked my world, so to speak.

Less mind-blowing, but still interesting, is the one set of pics. They show scanned images from the films' original packaging. They aren't perfect, but they're sharp enough. This part of the site hasn't grown since our initial visit, while nothing new has been added to the movie section since April 2013.

There is a blog that provides interesting information about vintage content. There is also a pride timeline explaining the evolution of gay rights, so there's some respect for our history besides enjoying some old-time porn. Vintage Gay Loops gives you a tasty look back at our dirty gay past.
