Pros and Cons
- exclusive content
- downloadable videos
- some pictures
- discontinued updates
- mediocre-quality videos
- unrelated extras/broken links
Ever seen one of those ads in the classified section for an apartment that sounds too good to be true? Take that experience, multiply it by about a thousand, and you'll get what My Gay Roommates
offers its members.
Site owner Luke places such ads in the classifieds and waits eagerly for respondents. The potential roommate is then told that the rent will be a lot more than initially mentioned. However, Luke offers him the chance to screw his other roommates in exchange for free rent.
There you have it, a hot premise that fills a few MyGayRoommates episodes, although now it seems they've stopped adding new content. There are in fact fewer episodes than there were before. There are 19 videos to download in multiple short clips and three longer segments in Windows Media format that offers mediocre-quality playback.
I watched two potential roomies give it to a fresh-faced stud for free rent. They screw Luke wild, as he moans in pleasure and sucks their cocks like there was no tomorrow. It sounds great, but there's still no excuse for such low-quality videos. I mean they haven't added anything new in ages, so they should consider upgrading their existing stuff.
There are only eight galleries of still pics, while the other episodes are accompanied only by vid caps. At least though, in some cases, the screen caps look a lot better than you might expect. They'll also help you to decide which scenes to watch first, even though there are so few episodes that you'll probably watch them all in the end anyway.
There is what seems like a ton of extras in the beginning and there are quite a few with one catch. Many links are broken and the ones that work only link to straight porn (12 bonus sites). That's quite a blow to the site, because it used to have some theme-appropriate extras that helped make up for the lack of updated featured content.
It's a shame because gay guys faced with the promise of free rent for a quickie is a hot concept. Too bad that My Gay Roommates leaves you feeling screwed as if you showed up to rent a room from one of those fake ads.
