We've all heard of the infamous Girls Gone Wild videos. Coed chicks on spring break or at Mardi Gras behaving quite badly after a few too many sips from a keg all caught on camera. Obviously, the masterminds behind the concept have probably made a bundle while maintaining low production costs, so one would expect some equally brilliant marketing on the cheap from them too. Could one find any more cost effective way of advertising than getting prospective customers to pay money to preview your videos online?
That's right, the site features screen captures from Volumes 1-14 of the GirlsGoneWild videos, although inexplicably there is no Volume 3 set. Each volume has about 3-8 galleries of around 50 average looking video grabs. These aren't great images, pretty much the equivalent of freeze-framing a cassette on your old school VCR. Nevertheless, there are an additional 10 other releases from the series like Forbidden Spring Break and Mardi Gras 2K1 with similar sets of pictures available.
Quantities of 3-8 video clips similar to the image galleries from each Girls Gone Wild Volumes 1-14 (again no Volume 3) can be streamed to your screen in low quality Windows Media format (320x238, 398kbps) or similar looking versions of QuickTime or Flash. Similarly, the 10 other DVDs from the same company offer streaming clips too. The only special content on the site is 28 web exclusive clips not available anywhere else. However, the quality is consistently mediocre.
Extras include 11 bonus galleries, some from another website, others behind the scenes or cut from videos. There are plans to add two new DVD titles into the main content in the next month and a half. The web exclusive episodes are updated daily but older sessions are removed as new ones are added. Although I get the completely voyeuristic premise behind college aged women flashing tits and ass, given the cost of monthly membership versus buying the much better quality DVDs, I think the hard copy version is a better deal.
