Along with the name of the site, Latina Hood Rats has this kind of mascot on the banner as well. It is this amateurishly drawn red jalapeño pepper with a big smile and sunglasses. As it turns out, this mascot is actually an almost perfect metaphor for the site itself. Yes I actually thought this through. Here we go.

The pepper looks good, but it's simple artwork.

The site looks good but they could have put a little more effort into the design as the navigation is a bit of a pain in the ass . There are many times visiting a page when no navigation buttons are available so to return to the previous place requires pressing the browser's back button repeatedly.
