Movie Box Review

As much as I would love to have a big box of pornos in my house, a website like Movie Box would take up less space and be much easier to hide when the relatives came over. (I think a large box would be pretty obvious sticking up under my mattress.)

MovieBox isn't like a large box of porn - it's like a humongous box of porn and it's growing all the time. Feel like some anal love? It's there. How about some deep MILF dickin'? You got it. How about a creampie, interracial , BBW , hentai , lesbians , public sex, threesomes or squirting ? They're all here, too!

Like most other large movie sites, this one has a nice design (it was redesigned since our last visit) and good navigation. Just below the banner you'll find a basic keyword search as well links to an extensive list of categories and pornstars to browse. Along the left-hand side of the page you'll see shorter lists of links to just the very top pornstars and categories on offer.

The site still has a VOD section as well as some exclusive channels that require buying credits or add-on memberships in order to access them. However, they've greatly simplified things by no longer mixing the premium content into the section with the over 50,572 SD scenes that are currently accessible with your membership.

Another thing that's changed is that you can now download all 5,361 flicks in their "HD" section. Unfortunately, it turns out that they don't really bring you any high-def footage. Instead, you're really getting thousands of good-quality videos, which represent only about a tenth of the more than 55933 scenes when you add up all the videos.

You've got some playback options, including a cinema mode, which darkens everything in your browser window except for the scene inside the streaming player. You also have a "filmstrip" button that causes a series of screenshots to appear below the player, allowing you to jump to specific points in the footage. These probably loosely correspond to the downloadable clips, which are offered in addition to full-length versions.

There aren't any photos, so for images you're limited to the thumbnails for each scene or to checking out the front and back of the DVDs they come from. Speaking of which, I really love the names of the DVDs, even though some of them (shocker of shocker, I know) are far from being politically correct.

You've got "Oh! Me So Horny!" with Asian action, which makes me think of the 2 Live Crew song from 1989. There's "Latin Ho-Down" featuring a Latina standing tall in a cowboy hat, even though the title makes it sound like she might have fallen down. And if you're wondering what kinds of sinful antics "Weird Fuckin' Sex 16" holds, its description promises viewers circus midgets and pregnant women.

I thought I could get away with not saying much about the design, but then I realized that besides taking away the ability to post comments, we have a more pressing issue to discuss. When browsing the large sections of videos, you can only move through them a few pages at a time, or jump to the first or last page. It's just not very practical. There isn't an advanced search engine, but there never was.

All in all, there's a ton of content here and now all of it's downloadable. And they're updating every day with multiple scenes. So even though it's not fun that you have to pay extra to access the exclusive channels, Movie Box is a definite player in the porn-movie-site game.
