FACT AND FICTION: THE CLITORIS

FACT AND FICTION: THE CLITORIS

Even with the prevalence of porn in society and the many numbers of naked women most dudes have seen on their various screens, the female body still remains a mystery to many. So, with that in mind, I decided to provide a little “Fact and Fiction” about some of men’s favorite – but least understood – parts of the female anatomy. How about we start with…the clitoris!

But this isn’t just for men. A 2005 study of 833 undergrad students found that “women were not more likely than men to be able to locate the clitoris on a diagram,” and “overall, neither men nor women out-performed the other sex on the clitoral knowledge measures.” So, ladies, keep reading as well.

IT’S MUCH BIGGER THAN YOU THINK

For all you guys who have trouble finding it, you are probably saying “hell no, it isn’t!” But, the truth is that the clit is much bigger than any of us think it is. However, don’t feel bad, guys, because only about a quarter of the clit is actually visible. The rest of it is inside a woman’s body (which is where your penis can be more often if you get better at finding and stimulating this erogenous zone).

CLITORAL STIMULATION IS KEY TO A FEMALE’S ORGASM

Yes, for some women this is fiction. There are some females out there that can have wonderful and intense orgasms just from vaginal penetration and that’s great for them. But, guys don’t assume that the woman you are with is one such creature. And ladies, don’t feel bad if you aren’t one of those women, because studies have shown that only about 30% of females can have orgasms from penetration alone.

Do the math, folks. That means that 70% of women require some form of clitoral stimulation to achieve orgasm – whether it be sucking, licking or toys or whatever a particular clit prefers.

Fun Fact: There is evidence to suggest that if the space between the clitoris and vaginal opening is less than an inch, a woman is more likely to be able to orgasm through penetrative sex alone.

TTHE CLIT IS MORE SENSITIVE THAN THE PENIS

A lot of people like to refer to the clit as the female penis and in some ways that statement is fact. I mean, upon conception all babies have the same genital tissue and at around 12 weeks the genitalia start to differentiate into either a penis or a labia. So, looking at it from that angle, the clit and the penis are made up of the same “materials.”

However, while men know how good an orgasm feels to them and how sensitive their penis is, we really have no idea how much better it feels for a chick when her clit is stimulated. You see, a woman’s clitoris has around 8,000 nerve endings and that’s about double what you will find in the glands of a penis.

IT GROWS

No, I don’t mean it gets engorged when a woman is aroused, I mean the clitoris literally grows over the course of a woman’s lifetime due to hormonal changes in a female’s body.

The growing starts when puberty hits and by the time puberty end,s the clitoris will be about 1.8 times larger. Then by the time a female hits 32 years of age their clit will be almost four times as big than it was when they started puberty. But wait, there’s more!

When a woman starts menopause their clit will be about seven times bigger than it was at birth! Now, we are still talking about a very small area, so this growth won’t actually be noticeable, but it is happening.

EVERY WOMAN HAS ONE!

Sorry guys. You can’t say a chick doesn’t have one because you can’t find it. If you can’t find it then that is on you, not on the woman. In fact, every female mammal has a clitoris, so maybe you can ask for some help finding it from that male reindeer or that giant male armadillo.

However, we humans are one of the few species who have actually evolved to use the clit for sexual pleasure. So, reindeer and giant armadillo males would have an evolutionary excuse for not being able to find the clit. But not you!
