When I sat down to review the Mikey And Mandy website, I assumed that I'd be taking a look at another run-of-the-mill amateur couple's site. As it turns out, though, I was very, very, very, very, very wrong.
Despite my initial assumptions, MikeyAndMandy is actually an online magazine and a massive porn emporium. The site is run by Michael C. Gross (who produced films like "Heavy Metal" and "Kindergarten Cop") and Roberta E. Morgan (a best-selling author and TV and Radio host), and they both make it very clear that they love erotica and pornography. In fact, they love the stuff so much that they've got examples of just about every kind of smut you could imagine on their site. From hardcore to softcore, from the mundane to the downright bizarre, every last niche gets some attention.
The website's design isn't great, so calculating the exact number of videos and picture sets available on it proved to be far more difficult than I would have liked it to be. By my count, there are 271 movies and 708 photo galleries available to members. Very little of the material is exclusive, as the vast majority of it comes from all over the Internet.
Since the videos on the site come from so many sources, the quality of the flicks often varies wildly. I didn't even come close to watching all the vids, but the movies I did view ranged from abysmal to fantastic looking. Quality isn't the only thing that varies from film to film. The videos come in multiple formats, including Windows Media, QuickTime and MPEG and you won't know which one it is until you go to download the file you want.
As with the movies, the quality of the photos varies as well. Some are high-res and some are not. A number of the galleries can be downloaded in their entirety as handy Zip sets, but not all of them, so that's another inconsistency.
Aside from the main material, site members also get access to a number of erotic tales, columns, some news articles, horoscopes and more. There aren't any bonus sites, but given the low-end monthly membership fee, that isn't too surprising.
Mikey And Mandy has some major design problems and the quality of its content is incredibly inconsistent, but if you're on a budget and big on variety, the site might be worth looking into. In closing, let me just say that this is the most eclectic porn site that you'll ever visit.
