The site is user-friendly, so despite the huge amount, it's easy to navigate. You can browse by loads of categories, studios and performers. There is an advanced search engine too. Currently, SugarVOD has over 37,000 DVDs. They come in various versions of Windows Media, but the "super" viewing option only provides average-quality playback on screen. Currently, the titles come in streaming-only versions. You have a choice of a two or seven-day period. I found that the video loaded quickly and started playing almost immediately.
Obviously, the speed of your Internet connection and computer hardware will also be a factor. However, the site lists all the requirements necessary to have things working smoothly. You can also choose lower-quality viewing options to be more compatible with your system. Previously, a rental option allowed you to download files and watch them for a month.
I would say that there are a couple of things missing for me. The DVDs are not split into scenes, so you have to choose the entire DVD. However, you can move forward and backward through the footage with relative ease - you do risk wasting a few seconds here and there while you mess around finding the start of the part you most want. There aren't any vid caps or pics for any of the vids either. You can see the front and back of the DVD cover though.
If you buy minutes, you'll get over five hours of viewing time for a cost equivalent to most standard porn sites. Keep in mind that some premium titles use up two minutes of your time for every minute played. Sugar VOD is a worthwhile option for anyone who wants a flexible membership because the minutes never expire and you choose how much you spend each time you buy minutes.
