Adult Fun Awaits on Digital Playground

There are few studios in the adult industry that are a more popular porn site than Digital Playground and for good reason. Adult director Joone founded the company more than 25 years ago when they were producing X-rated computer games instead of pornographic DVDs. DP has long been regarded as one of the most successful studios in history and here you can view their collection of films, series, and one-off scenes going back to 2001.

What Are You Getting?

Digital Playground lets you stream all 3348 videos in Full HD. Even the ones from two decades ago are remastered in 1080p. They also have three lower quality options: 720p, 480p, and 320p. The 1601 photo galleries are available as Zips or in a photo viewer. Updates arrive every Monday and include a video and photoset. Since our last review, they've slowly started producing content in 4K quality, but there's only a small amount still.

Much of the content comes from the studio's DVDs, but they also release some original porn series exclusively online. One that stands out is The Pulse and just like the medical dramas on television, each episode has hospital staff fighting for power and hooking up. Of course, unlike your typical TV show, the doctors and nurses fuck on camera. There's also Crowns of Fury, which plays off the popularity of the Game of Thrones franchise.

The Raw Cuts reality series covers all kinds of scenarios, like real-life wives Nikki Hearts and Leigh Raven making sweet lesbian love at home. Or check out a sitter seducing the dad behind the wife's back, feuding neighbors fucking, and even a ghosthunter-on-ghost hookup. Influenced loosely parodies the world of influencers on platforms like Instagram and Snapchat.

Speaking of which, their porn parodies, like Little Red Rider and Jessica Bones, are fun too. Take a look at the most successful porn movies under the Blockbusters tab. These include more X-rated parody films and plenty of originals, including a holiday murder mystery where a wealthy man's family and friends fight and fuck for his inheritance.

You can check out just over 100 BTS videos, too. These usually include interviews with the pornstars, some bloopers, and some behind-the-scenes shots. Upbeat music plays over the whole thing and the vibe is fast-paced, professional, and fun.

What Works?

Expect the same usability across your devices. You can browse the scenes, movies, and categories to start, but the advanced filters and sorting options are the big guns in their usability arsenal. This is where you can browse specific series or combine multiple search terms to get really granular with your results.

Like or dislike the scenes, save them to your favorites, or add them to a Watch Later playlist. You can do this for the pictures, movies, series, and videos separately, so only your actual favorites end up on your watch lists. There's also a basic search engine, and navigating between the pages was seamless.

The video player is fully functional, with a picture-in-picture mode and playback speeds. A lot of their videos come with a timeline that links to specific acts, like the missionary position or blowjob. These seem tied to the tags, but you can always look at the filmstrip navigation previews if you don't see what you're looking for.

Most of the scenes include a trailer, and all the series have their own pages with a lengthy description and a list of all the pornstars. If you're interested, the store sells its exclusive line of sex toys , hardcopy DVDs, and VOD content.

What Doesn't Work?

For a site with DP's reputation, it shouldn't come as a surprise that I don't have many negatives to report. The biggest issue? Access to downloads costs an additional $29.99/month or $99.99/year. If you go this route, you also get access to 4K downloads. Otherwise, it's streaming only.

It looks as though there was a significant drop in photo galleries since our last review - by almost 850 sets. It's not clear why they were removed. It's also worth noting that the galleries are in a section under Extras. Our count reflects the total there, but some of the pages appear broken, so it's best to think of it as more of an estimate.

Similarly, not all the titles in the Movies section link to any videos. Well, they do, but it's not the videos from that DVD. They're easy to spot as they don't have a scene count. You can still find the scenes with a search, or by browsing the Videos section.

Do I Recommend It?

Full HD videos with some new 4K trickled in, weekly updates, and a massive library, it's no wonder people regard this parody porn site so highly. With everything already going for it, it may be a bit easier to stomach the additional fee for downloads. Or not. But if you use our Digital Playground discount, you'll offset some of that cost.
