I really don't know where one should draw the line between pornography and erotic art. Torrid Art does a very good job of merging artful photography and a true appreciation of the beauty of the female form with erotically charged poses and captivating glances.

TorridArt has a clean, user-friendly design and, at the same time, manages to be elegant and packed with information. On the page displaying a model's various photo galleries, you'll find a write-up describing the special techniques used during the shoots as well as some of the photographer's insights on the woman's special talents and features. There's also some profile information like country of origin, heritage and measurements.

Navigation on this site is simple, but you have several options for finding the photo sets. You can click on the galleries link and find the sets sorted by date back to September 2008. You can also use the model index and find all the spreads associated with each gorgeous babe. You can quickly jump to your favorite gal by selecting her from a drop-box. You can also browse by hair color or category, like MILF or Asian.

I found 259 photo sets across the 518 updates, because complete sets are normally split into two postings. The photos themselves are incredible. You have a range of quality options, depending on how much time you want to spend downloading each image. Each set offers super high-res images backed by equally high production values.

For the collector, each picture set can be downloaded in a convenient Zip file, so they can be savored and browsed without having to wait through the load times for each picture. I am a bit surprised that there is no automatic slideshow feature, although it would only be practical if you viewed the smaller versions of the pics.

Perhaps the only negative thing one can say about the site is that it doesn't offer much in the way of bonus material and there are no videos. However, while you won't have access to any other sites, you will have access to some nice extras, like blogs on erotic photography, some behind-the-scenes shoots and desktop wallpaper. Updates are twice a week and always clearly displayed as new content for returning members.

You don't have to be a photography fanatic to appreciate this site. It helps, but the beautiful women and the evocative images will appeal to anyone who appreciates the softer side of sexuality. Specifically, it'll appeal to those who understand that softcore material can sometimes create the most intense experience. For its good design, high-caliber photography and good selection of content, I can heartily recommend Torrid Art.
