Pros and Cons
- large photo collection
- some high-res pics
- frequent updates
- limited trial
- streaming-only videos
- no zipped photo sets
Spunk Toons is dedicated to gay toon action. It has a healthy amount of exclusive galleries, enough to garner it a decent mark for uniqueness, despite having some content drawn from other places as well. It combines the material into 10 different categories, as well as additional sections for clips and games.
Overall, SpunkToons has 514 different sets of comics, some are high-res, many are not. However, the quality overall is quite good. It should also be mentioned that some sets are only four or five frames, while others have more or are individual images or pages within the storyboard. Unfortunately, none of them can be saved in Zip files.
The sections are as follows: exclusive content, gay love, 3D art, superheroes, toon sets, series art, animations, toon sex, shemales and archives. If some of those names don't make immediate sense, it's because some represent a specific storyline on the site, so they're more of a proper title than a general category name. There are currently 138 sets in the exclusive category, but exclusive content makes up a large part of the rest of the content, even if it isn't labeled as such.
There is a section marked DVD with a series of 20 partial clips. When I visited the site almost a year ago, I had some problems playing the files after I downloaded them. It appears that issue has been fixed by making all the scenes great-looking, but streaming-only videos. They're only about two minutes each and sampled from mostly one movie, but the scenes move along quickly with a montage of gay toon sucking and fucking.
In addition to extra galleries from toon feed sites like Hunky Hentai and Male Works, a membership gives you access to one bonus site called Asian Guys. It brings you live-action solo and hardcore hotties from the various countries of East and Southeast Asia.
I'd say that there's a decent amount of existing content and the updates are a couple of times a week. Sure, the vid section is hardly impressive, but I know that toon content is often heavier on the still drawings than the animated clips. Spunk Toon doesn't have many vids, but exclusive gay toons are hard to come by, so that gives it an edge on the competition.
