Private XXX Gold Review

I had high expectations for Private XXX Gold before I even signed in. On the sign in page, there was a notice that the site was new and redesigned, that it had won Best XXX Site of the Year honors in 2002 and Jill Kelly officially approved it. Well, this I had to see, since it was sounding like the greatest thing since low-rise jeans (the sexual equivalent of sliced bread).

I guess we should start with the basics. The site is huge and has more content then you'll probably ever be able to look at. This is good, although a lot of large sites suffer from design and navigation issues. Now I don't know what it looked like before the re-design but now it looks quite good. I had to get a feel for it, but after one quick surf around I felt right at home and knew were everything was. There are two types of videos available: streaming and downloadable. However, the XXX video link in the main menu bar only takes you to the streaming ones. In this section you'll find about 30 video feed links and 12 streaming video sites.

The quality of the feeds is all over the place, but the streaming sites actually look quite good. To get to the downloadable movies , you have to just scroll down the main page a little where there are about 10 scenes waiting for you as well as a link to what they claim are 11 000 more. These are all downloadable in Windows Media format (320x240, 347kbps), (480x360, 564kbps). The quality of the scenes I saw did vary and although they were okay, they could really have been better.

The rest of the site is filled with live cam links, sex toy shopping, some more feeds, pictures and online magazines. There are also four bonus sites included with your membership but in actuality, they're all basically the same site with different names. Sure, you might find a few different feeds or galleries, but basically, all five sites are the same. In the end, while there is a lot of content and while a lot of it is downloadable, the fact that the video quality is average, the bonus sites are clones and the membership fee is rather high, PrivateXxxGold didn't live up to my expectations.
