Webcam Chat X Review

If you thought that Webcam Chat X was a live cam site , then congrats to you, you are correct! If the name didn't make it obvious enough, one look at the site and the obviousness is even more, well, obvious.

The grid of model images with links to free and private chats is a standard design, but one that works, so I have no complaints when it comes to how the site looks and feels. I also don’t have complaints about the amount of models I found online.

It was late afternoon when I checked it out and there were 427 models live on cam and waiting to talk to me. Not only that, but there are 10,243 models in total on the site. It could get a little overwhelming, but there is a nice set of filters along the side of the page that you can use to narrow down your search.

I checked out a bunch of chicks and the experience was hit and miss. While some were super friendly and willing to get naked and naughty with almost everything I asked, others were all about the chatting and seemed to like the tease more than the show. (I prefer the show to the tease personally.)

At least the camera quality was generally good. There aren't any HD cams, but for many of the babes I chatted with (just doing my job, folks) I had a pretty clear image and generally fluid motion. You also have a few basic controls on the player, like being able to make the screen bigger and smaller.

You may be asking why I didn't ask the girls what they would do in private during the free chat, so as not to waste my time/money. Well, I couldn't because none of the models online at the time were offering a free chat (I know because I did a filter for it and no cams showed up).

So, yes, there is a free chat option, but, no, the models don't always have it enabled. The performers have profiles and most have photos/vid caps there, so I guess you could use those as a way to get a better look at the babe before going private. They also often mention in those profiles what they do in front of the camera. There is no notification service, but you can add a performer to your favorites, which makes them easy to check on whenever you are on the site.

As for pricing, every cam I checked out was charging the same per-minute price of $1.89 chip/minute. And with chips costing pretty much 1 Euro each, it comes out to about $2.60/minute (depending on what the conversion is when you head over). Unfortunately, there is no session timer, so you will want to pay at least a little attention to the clock to know how much you are spending.

The price-per-minute isn't bad and with the generally good cam quality you could definitely have some fun here. However, I do hope that more models start enabling the free chat option, because not being able to see their cam and chat before taking them private will surely lead to some wasted chips/money!
