Women Lie More Than Men About Sex

I know the above photo has nothing to do with what I am going to talk about, but I thought it was one of the funniest "newspaper corrections" I have ever seen and wanted to share it with you all. So have a good laugh and now, to quote the great Salt-n-Pepa, "Let's Talk About Sex."

Researchers at Ohio State University found that both men and women adjust the truth when it comes to sex in order to meet conventional gender norms. I doubt this surprises anyone. But what might surprise you is that women bend the truth more than men do. The researchers found about 200 university students and got them to complete a questionnaire that asked them how often they engaged in 124 different behaviors. But here is the twist.

Some of the students were hooked up to a polygraph machine, but what they didn't know was that the machine wasn't working. Another group of students were left alone to fill out the questionnaire and were told their answers would be completely anonymous. And, finally, a third group was told that researchers might view their answers and the researcher sat right outside the testing room with the door open.

Now, when it came to nonsexual behaviors there wasn't much difference between the genders or between the various groups. There was no pressure to fit into gender roles when it came to questions about whether they, for example, made obscene jokes or lifted weights, etc. But when it came to the sex questions things were very different.

You see, women who thought their answers might be seen by others tended to give answers that were more "socially acceptable" then the females attached to the lie detector. Women who thought their answers might be read reported an average of 2.6 sexual partners. However, those connected to the polygraph machine reported an average of 4.4 sexual partners. The ladies who had privacy during the test gave middle-ground answers averaging 3.4 sexual partners.

Before we get to the men you can check out the Top Five Female Sex Lies according to this hottie in a tight dress:

As for the men, their answers also varied, but much more slightly. Polygraphed guys reported an average of 4.0 sexual partners, while the guys who thought their answers might be seen came in at 3.7 sexual partners.

I read a few articles about this study and was surprised that no one else pointed it out, but look at those male numbers again. Am I the only one who finds the biggest surprise of the whole study the fact that the polygraph dudes' number is higher than the "thought their answers might be seen" guys?

Wouldn't you assume that guys would claim more sexual partners than was the truth if they thought their answers might be seen and they weren't hooked up to a lie detector? Maybe my sleazebag friends that I play poker with every week aren't the best indicators of how the rest of the male population feels about bragging - truthfully or not - about their sexual conquests. Maybe I need some new friends?!

Speaking of girls who have had more than 4.4 partners, check out these sites where they have more than 4.4 partners all at once: FuckTeamFive, WestCoastGangBangs and 10ManCumSlam.
