Does music have a place in Internet porn?

When I watch a movie, whether it is a Hollywood narrative or a Sunset Strip porn production, I expect music. Music, in these instances, always serves the production and enhances the dramatic action by acting as an accompaniment to the image. It rarely dominates the film or the action like it does on Internet porn sites like Silverstone Videos.

We all love music, but porn is about sex and when you watch a couple fucking there is a major turn on in hearing the breaths of the actors and the beat of a cock in pussy or ass. The sound of sex, in my opinion, is the music in a 20-minute porn movie. However, some sites insist on laying a soundtrack over the moans, groans and slapping of flesh on flesh. While certain movies maintain the sounds of hardcore with a background track, others erase the real life audio, which totally overpowers the hardcore and cuts you off from one major part of the whole turn-on.

Music can be used quite well with single models caught up in their own pleasure during masturbation scenes, but I still enjoy hearing the rhythm of a dildo sliding in and out of a babes pussy, and I particularly get off on hearing her get off.

The problem with Internet porn is that I rarely find movies that use music to increase the sexual tension. In fact, the use of music in this kind of porn seems like either filler or an attempt to cover up some other sound on the track. It just doesn't do it for me and not only that, but what if I don't like the piece of music? Do I really want to watch a movie where a gorgeous chick is getting off to elevator music, or a couple is fucking to the sounds of 'Beat It'?

In this way, using a soundtrack can totally turn-off an audience and I doubt that Internet sites want to lose customers? Does music have a place in porn? I think that sometimes it can be appropriate, but most of the time I experience overpowering soundtracks that destroy the whole point of hardcore, which is getting off.

It would be interesting to know how other's feel about a serving of music with their porn.

Music would be good if it's actually done well and serves to heighten tension and whatever feelings that the film is intended to arouse in the audience member. However, in porn, I think that rarely are the scenes orchestrated as finely as in a Hollywood movie.

I'm pretty sure that in "Bound," there was background music during the sex scene. Listen to the directors' commentary in that scene, and my guess is that porn films are not that specifically managed.

In "Deep Throat," they definitely used music to demonstrate female orgasm. While that film is dated compared to today's porn films, that's an example of the use of music to convey feeling/arousal/orgasm besides just hearing a person vocally.
