Three Types of Love
Dr. Helen Fisher of Rutgers University has an interesting theory about love. Based on brain-imaging studies and findings in neurochemistry, she suggests that what we call "love" is actually a blend of three different, independent mechanisms, each of which is under the control of a different set of neurotransmitters.

What To Look For In 2007 on RabbitsReviews
With a snow storm raging outside my office window, I figured this is as good time as any to let you know what you can expect to see at Rabbits Reviews in the coming year.
For surfers, we're working on improving user comments, adding more details to Site Facts, and on some modifications to our templates. We now have over 3500 reviews and our goal is to make sure all of them have been re-visited within a year of the previous review date. Currently about 2900 are dated from 2006. This is a lot of work, but we will make sure that 100% of our reviews meet this goal. Our homepage will have a section listing all the latest updates.
Our special discount section has increased to a sizeable collection of sites that give our surfers a discounted membership. It will continue growing, so be sure to check it often.

Bush Engages in New Witch Hunt
Once again, the illustrious President as apparently declared war on another constitutionally protected privilege, this time being free speech. I was reading an article that outlined the administration's new vendetta against pornography. It has been decently reported on the past attempts under Bush to demonize anything remotely sexually erotic as debased and immoral, but now his cronies are tightening the noose and focusing specifically on erotica that depicts bondage and SM situations.

Monogamy Is a Myth
Over the past couple of months I have been increasingly skeptical of the whole concept of eternal monogamy that was the basis of my early understanding of relationships. While the whole concept is certainly a romantically appealing one, I find it hard to believe that every person on the planet is destined to find the complete complement to their life and spend the rest of their time on earth with that one person. As the whole concept of marriage has evolved, I understand that there are progressive couples out there who separate the emotional commitment that they share with a partner from the physical needs that every person desires to fulfill. I think it is probably a basic truth that as people get older, their personalities necessarily change, and along with those changes come different needs. Unless the other person changes at the same rate, then there is an unbalanced relationship that creates unhappiness. Not to even mention how genetics/evolution affects our relationships.

Black Friday Sales in Porn, Too
As probably most of you out there, I love a good sale or discount. I have to admit that I’m not a big shopper on that most hallowed of holiday traditions – the big day after Thanksgiving holiday in America. Thousands of people wake up at the break of dawn to take advantage of the huge markdowns that retailers offer to beat the competition. Usually I just procrastinate and wait until the end of the holiday season to pick up last minute gifts.
