OhMiBod Music Powered Vibrator

Like any other type of gadget, there are fads, new developments and product upgrades for adult toys and playthings. The latest innovation comes from a mom who once worked for Apple and wanted to bring the best out in vibrators that respond to more than just buttons. I was pleased as punch to introduce the OhMiBod to the other toys in my nightstand drawer and it certainly gave some old favorites a run for their money.

It is a simple concept. OhMiBod reacts to the music playing from your MP3 player and vibrates according to your favorite song. I was admittedly a bit skeptical, because I've heard that some of these devices require thumping beats and ear-splitting volume in order to work. While it could possibly have been my abiding love of Amon Tobin and Herbalizer, there were no issues at all getting this vibe to swing with my tunes.

ipod vibratorLike anything else, this product has its ups and downs. The first thing I'll mention is that it's made of hard plastic. While classic, this isn't ideal for me personally, though others might enjoy its smoothness. If I'm inserting anything, I want it to be softer than this, but it's great for exterior use. Second, this is a standard vibrator. No bells or whistles come with this product other than the music response, so insertion plus clitoral stimulation is a two-handed job. Check it out for yourself and you'll notice the uncomplicated design. I would have loved to have this when I was using my first vibrator and really wasn't sure what it was about or how it would respond to my body.

The regular controller lets you adjust the vibrations with the push of a button and vibing to music that you already know puts you in the mood and is a great way to introduce a new toy to your body. Take note live-music fans: The audience and ambient noise is picked up and makes for a continual vibration, while the music on top builds intensity. Try an OhMiBod if you have a favorite bootleg you'd like to wrap your legs around.

Price-wise, you're really paying for the music response. Other plastic vibrators go for way less than this one ($69), but they don't all work together with music to make your alone time so memorable.

There is an added bonus to this product that you'll want to check out: the Club Vibe, online community. The woman who invented it really went all out in terms of the social aspect of masturbation. Yes, folks, there is a social aspect to body love and the playlist sharing, the search feature in iTunes, as well as featured DJs, are all a significant part of making your orgasm not only incredible, but also appreciated and even encouraged.
