When I say wax this I'm not exactly referring to the $15.00 bikini job or even to BDSM sites that feature the ever so common hot wax treatment on submissive models. No, I am referring to Jenna Jameson.

Nina Hartley, Annie Sprinkle and a handful of other female movers and shakers in the porn industry all hold a special place in my ideology and Ms. Jameson is also a woman that I have greatly admired over the years, particularly where it concerns her business prowess. I was a little disappointed to learn that Playboy recently bought up her company Club Jenna Inc., but c'est la vie - such is striking a good enough business deal to sell your company.

More recently, I was inspired by an AVN story (8-3-2006) reporting that Jenna Jameson recently became the first ever porn star to be inducted into wax at Madame Tussaud's museum in Las Vegas, Nevada. I decided to go check out the website and when looking through the A to Z listing, I was a bit surprised not to find a category for Ms. Jameson, nor a cool press release announcing the new and I bet exciting attraction. I was even more shocked to find Ben Affleck's name listed among the immortalized.

Nevertheless, I found it intriguing that in this age of Bushorship, better known as ridiculously senseless censorship laws and outdated Victorian mores, that Ms. Jameson would have even garnered a place in the American museum, but good for her. She has obviously done a lot of things right. However, I do wonder how many other porn stars will follow or will she be the only and unique one for all time?

As for Ben Affleck being immortalized in wax (which continues to shock and awe me)? I can only imagine that the reason he is there is because of the most spectacular masterpiece of a movie ever made - Gigli. ;)
