Female Orgasm

The question of the female orgasm has been in the news lately. Not how to you achieve it, but what's it for?

It seems like a pretty silly question, but consider: the purpose of the male orgasm is pretty obvious—it accompanies the ejection of semen necessary for reproduction, so nature makes sure it feels so good we want to do it again and again, just prompting men to run around like maniacs trying to get laid.

Women on the other hand, don't have to orgasm to reproduce. Sure, it's nice, but it's not necessary, and as anyone who's been there can tell you, normal fucking is probably the worst way to try and get a woman to come. So it doesn't seem like the orgasm is there to reinforce screwing for women. If anything, it reinforces cunnilingus and using vibrators.

Well, maybe it's there as an added bonus, a way of engendering affection between a woman and her mate: Trouble is, research suggests love between partners has nothing to do with orgasmic frequency in women. In fact, women who have affairs are more likely to orgasm with their lovers than they are with their committed partners.

Another theory says that it has no purpose—it's just something left over from our evolutionary past, like the way our hair stands up when we're scared or a man's nipples harden when he's aroused. The clitoris and the penis come from the same embryonic tissue, after all, and maybe what's good for the gander is good for the goose too.

The female orgasm is every woman’s right to enjoy as nature intended. Whether with partner or alone; with or without artificial aid.

Unfortunately it’s seems that only the minority of women are able to enjoy this most natural of feminine pleasures. Not only that but the subject has become a debating point between the creationists and the evolutionists.

I’ve tried to put together a lot of basic information and resource to help at my new website.

There's even an excellent scientific e-book on the subject, written from the practical rather than theoretical point of view, by Dr Irene Cooper, a professional sex therapist in the UK.

Try this: the vagina has a certain pH level, as i'm sure you know, but that pH level is subject to change. Things like stress can cause it to change, but also, the frequency of orgasm can as well. So, a woman with a partner who does not bring her to orgasm frequently will have a pH level different than that of one who gets orgasms all the time. This pH level affects sperm. So this means a women with a more acidic vagina will be harder to impregnate because the sperm have a harder time surviving, whereas a women who has orgasms will be more fertile. Furthermore, the type of orgasm is important as well. An orgasm that occurs without actual sex (say, masturbating because your partner is not satisfying you) will change the pH level for the worse. Interesting.
