Haley Wilde

You may have noticed a subtle change in some of our reviews. Take for example the recently reviewed official Haley Wilde site. She's a tasty teen who is cute young girl that doesn't only pose softcore, but performs some hardcore on her site. Lynx makes mention of the fact that she may "still be attending an education institution," which may seem as if it's a rather pretentious turn of phrase. She also doesn't use some of the precise terminology I used in the previous sentence to describe this hot, little number.

Maybe, you think that we're all just trying to be extra creative by not using standard ways to refer to typical porn. Admittedly, sometimes that may be the case since when you spend everyday writing about porn, you learn you have to be creative to avoid repetitive stress syndrome in the brain. However, there's something else at work too. Certain words are no longer ideally utilized, if we want folks to find our stuff on many mainstream search engines.

Rather than saying we're being censored, it's more accurate to describe it as a survival of the fittest. We're self-censoring keywords that would cause our pages to be relegated to the very bottom of results. It proves to be a challenge that we meet with a sense of humor, as we find ourselves crafting some interesting replacement terms. How far do we have to go?

It might be surprising to know that unless a site uses one of the words we're avoiding, we try to avoid writing young, girl, boy, school, teen and twink, as a few major examples. That means of course that one has to try not to use other words that may include those terms either, such as girlfriend or eighteen.

Most of the time it has little effect on what is said, since in the case of sites that would target content covering many of these terms the name of the site itself would include one of the words, so we have free reign in what we could say. Nevertheless, eventually new porn sites will probably need to start coming up with URLs that avoid the same keywords too.

From my own experimentation, I've found using just one of the aforementioned terms on its own gives top results of a non-pornographic nature. However, if you add in a second word, such as "sexy" then you'll get the typical porn results you might expect otherwise. It might seem some sort of unfair compromise. If it spares my mother a heart attack the next time she searches the nutritional info on Twinkies, in a bid to shock me into improving my diet, it's a price worth paying.
